WHAT IS HOME WATCH?

Home Watch is defined as a scheduled visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.

Unlike an alarm or automated monitoring system, Home Watch provides a trusted person physically present in your home. Technology can alert you to certain events but it can’t provide context, and is subject to power outages, Wi-fi failures & device issues creating blind spots. Home Watch’s physical presence can detect unusual odors, visible stains, pest concerns or unintended changes in the condition of your property.

Home Watch complements your existing security and smart-home technology by providing the personal oversight technology alone cannot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What geography do you service?

Elite Home Watch serves various hamlets within the village of Huntington Township, NY focused on Commack, Dix Hills, East Northport, Elwood, Greenlawn, Huntington Station, Melville and South Huntington.

Is Home Watch the same as a security or alarm service?

No. A security system electronically monitors specific sensors or events. Home Watch is a scheduled, in-person visual inspection of accessible areas of your home. The services can work together, but they serve different purposes.

How often should my home be checked?

Home Watch visits are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on the property, season and homeowner’s individual needs. We will discuss the appropriate schedule for your home during the initial consultation.

Will I receive an update after every visit?

Yes. You will receive confirmation that the visit was completed, along with a corresponding Home Watch report detailing the review performed and commentary/photographs as appropriate.

What happens if a problem is found?

Tony will contact you promptly and provide the information available from his visual inspection. With your authorization, he can also provide property access to an appropriate service professional if required.

Can you meet a contractor or service provider at my home?

Yes. Authorized property-access and appointment services may be available by prior arrangement. Availability and any additional fees will be confirmed in advance.
